  • Health Week Revival at Willesden SDA church

    “Restoring the right arm” was the theme for the Health week starting on 24th April. For those who read Helen G. White’s books, they will know that the right arm of the Seventh-Day Adventist church is the Health Message, which is to finish the work [of evangelisation]. “Restoring” means re-instating, re-establishing, bringing back and also revive that which is crippled. Could it be that our Health Message is sick and dying and in need of heralds? Is our diet and medicine making us sick with the plagues of the Egyptians? What can we do to restore abundant health in us?

I am the Co-ordinator for the Winter Night Shelter (WNS) at Willesden SDA; I am a Street Pastor for Brent, I am a member of the Brent Multi Faith Forum (BMFF) and I am Vice Chair of Not Another Drop (NAD), a community group against gun, knife and gang crime.

    The peace march of this Sabbath 20th September 2008 settles the scores for the writer of this report who was twice disappointed for not taking part in two peace marches against gun crime one of which organised by the SEC youth department. It was with much pain that she saw the youth in her church getting ready with excitement and leave to participate in the march against gun crime back in July.
